VISION 2030
Vision 2030 is our invitation to the industry to imagine what we could achieve if we accelerate progress towards a fully inclusive and diverse industry and the success that would drive. The Sustainable Development Agenda, adopted by UN Member States (including the UK) in 2015, set a 2030 deadline for the achievement of gender equality. This is the deadline we need to meet to give ourselves the best possible chance of achieving our 2050 Net Zero targets.
Our Vision 2030 series includes a series of blogs from a range of industry voices and a strategy of how our industry can deliver Vision 2030.

Commit to attracting, retaining and developing a diverse workforce.

Leadership commitment
Drive an inclusive culture with a clear understanding of the benefits of gender equity, diverse decision making and the business culture. Inclusion is valued as a core leadership trait with value placed on nurturing business cultures in which diversity thrives.
Tackle hidden or underlying systemic bias; ensure that they are applied fairly across the whole organisation.

Transparent Promotions and Careers Development Models
Promote the skills of a diverse range of individuals for consideration in new opportunities.

Regardless of who or what the flexibility is wanted for; recognise the value that engaged staff bring to the industry.

Equal parenting policies
Bring paternity leave policies in line with maternity leave policies and encourage uptake.

Returnships
Encourage and facilitate those that have left the industry for caring responsibilities, ill health or other reasons, to return.
